General Grounds (2) 12/ 25/08 And I'm free, free fallin'!

Riley thought about the scar on his chest... on his right forearm... and then the multiple scars just in his memories -- especially his father's murder. His eyes went distant as he saw all those things rehappen in his mind's eye. RIley sighed heavily. "A hell of a lot more..."

Katy saw the pain in his eye
"If its too painful, you dont have to tell me.."
If he started cryin, she knew she wouldnt keep her promise of no pity..crying always got her..

"You either don't remember or don't read the Daily Prophet," Riley said after a moment -- just long enough for him to clear his head a little bit. "Because one of these... stories I guess you could call them, was in there."

"Sorry..no, I dont read the Daily Prophet."

"Oh," Riley said, half-way hoping that she did read it and that it would click... but she didn't. Without looking at her -- his gaze staring across the grounds at nothing in particular, he was just seeing the images flash before his eyes once more -- he decided that he did indeed have the strength to go into it without freaking out or anything. "My dad was murdered," he said quietly, seeing his foyer area in front of him instaed of the snowy grounds. He saw his parents fighting -- his mother looking livid, his father defending him for once in his life -- and then he saw the flash of green light and his father's body hitting the ground instantly. And then he was at his father's side, knowing there was nothing he could do, but still trying to do something -- anything -- to bring back the man that he boht loved and hated.

"You know, you dont have to tell me...if its too painful...i dont need to know"
