Riley entered the library without paying attention to anything he was doing. He didn't want to do anything else, so he thought that he'd go through the books and check out an interesting one to read while he stayed during the holidays since he never had anything to do... unless Ashley made him do something, but that was it. He went to walk behind a chair with someone sitting in it, when suddenly the person went to stand up and he didn't move in time and they collided slightly. "Oh... sorry," RIley said quickly.

((LOL... you gotta love the random collisions... and that's like hte normal way our chars ever get to talking, Kels! ))

"Sorry."She squeaked almost at the same time. Isabella redden. This had to have been the fifth perso she blindly walked into today."Umm don't feel bad. It was my fault."She explained hastily her worlds tumbling over each other in her hast to apologize. " I wasnt looking where I was going."She smiled weakily at him.

"It wasn't your fault," Riley replied. "I was the one not paying attention. Really, you have no need to apologize..."

"But seriously I'm the one who ran into."She protested blushing like mad.

"But I wasn't --" Riley stopped and chuckled a bit. "this is getting us nowhere... we both are sorry and both think it's our own fault... so we can leave it at that...?"

She nodded in agreement." Okay fine I can't not protest to that." She smiled wryly. "I'm Isabella by the way. You?"She asked mildly.

"Riley," he replied. "And Isabella... do you really like to be called that? ...I mean, not to sound rude or anything, but if I were you, I'd want to be called something different... like Izzy or Bella or something..."

She laughed quietly."Yeah I don't really like my name. It sound too how to you put it...old fashion."She grinned slightly at him. "Call me Bella or Issy you pick."

"Gotcha," Riley replied. "And I think oldfashioned is a good way to put it."

She grinned a little more."So are you a seventh year or a fifth year or a sixth year?"

"Sixth," Riley replied. "...and you? I'm guessing not my year, but I could very easily be wrong since I'm practically oblivious to a lot of things."

"5th year. I transfered this year."She explained quickly. "And I'm obvious all the time too. Hence why I get hurt alot."She blushed.

Riley chuckled slightly. "Meh, nothing to get embarrassed about or anything, trust me. And being oblivious all the time ins't a bad thing, either... it just gets in teh way sometimes."

"Okay true."She nodded."Okay this suddenly got akward because we have nothing to talk about since we don't know each other."She frowned slightly."We could talk more...that is if you don't mind."She added quickly hoping he wasnt feeling uncomfortable or wishing she'd just leave.

Riley chuckled slightly, agreeing with her about the nothing to talk about part. "I really have nothing else to do... and for once I actually don't mind striking up a conversation..."

She grinned slightly. "Do you like reading?"

"Tremendously," Riley replied. "It's my only escape..." He rolled his eyes, not at Izzy, but at the fact that he needed an escape. "You seem like the reading type, too... am I right?"

She nodded smiling a bit more. 'Loads like all the time. I'm not very social.'

"Neither am I... so this is surprising," he replied, indicating the conversation as 'this.'

She blushed again. 'Well that's good.'She said meekly not really knowing what to say. 'So..um..how are you?"

Riley ignored hte blush in her cheeks like a gentleman and smiled -- it was really close to his full smile, but not quite there yet. "Well, I'm doing a hell of a lot better since I've been away from home since September," he replied lightly. Then he realized what he said and realized that it may or may not lead to some quesitons that he may or may not answer. "Oh... er..." he said, stuttering thinking that it would probably lead to quesitons. "What about you?" he finally asked, hoping that she wouldn't ask anything about his statement. He wasn't sure he'd answer her... and he didn't wnat to not answer her.

"Well besides the fact of running into about 10 things today II'm doing pretty good."She grinned finding to rude to ask him more about his life. "I've been spending most of my time reading though since I don't know a ton of people and I don't usually go out of my way to meet people. Besides Hufflepuffs aren't very popular so makes more sense why no one knows me. "She started."And cause I transfered this year I didn't get the opportunity like other people here to have know my roomates for 5 years."

"Meh, knowing your roomates is overrated," riley joked.

She giggled quietly. "Well it's nice to have a few friends."

"Well, that is true," Riley replied. "Friends are nice to have... even if they can be overbearing... obnoxious, annoying... but for some bloody reason you still are friends with them." Yes, Riley was indeed talking about Ashley.
