Yule Ball -- 25 December 2008

"I like that. I can see you as a white tiger," Michael said with a smile. He then couldn't help himself, "Vos yeux sont bleus comme le tigre blanc's. Je t'aime tellement, Ashley." He kissed the back of her hand.

(it means: Your eyes are as blue as the white tiger's. I love you so much, Ashley. ...hope she doesn't freak again)

"Er... not sure what that means, but I"m assuming it's some sort of compliment!" Ashley said, laughing.

"My-Dear...if only I could give you the moon, or the sky...that wouldn't be enough to show how much you have stolen my heart," said Michael with a smile, looking into her eyes.

Ashley smiled. "Oh stop with all that cutesy stuff! It seems like you have thi all planned out. Be... what was that word... oh yes, spontaneous more often," she joekd.

"Spontaneous eh?," he asked in a playful fashion. "Well...let's see...that looks like a balloon (shaped like a white tiger) floating down towards us. Wonder what it could be holding?," he asked with a smile. It had a slender box (not cube ), containing a necklace. It landed before them. "I was hoping to give this to you. Merry Christmas, Ashley," said Michael with a smile, holding the present with a bow on it out to her.

Ashley was actually surprised. She took the box that looked like it woudl contain jewelery (and who wouldn't like jewelery!). She smiled as she opened it. "Oh, wow, Michael... it's lovely!" she said happily.

"I bought it earlier, and had planned to give it to you for Christmas, but then everything became complicated," said Michael with a weak smile. He then smiled wider, and said, "I hope it isn't too much of a gift...I just wanted to give you a little something."

"It's amazing," Ashley said with a smile. "It makes my 'friend' gift look crappy... but I guess I could find ways to make it a little better..."

Michael gently lifted her chin, and said, "its alright. This wasn't expected, since this wasn't the gift I would have given as a friend. You gave me more of a gift today by you and me returning to the way we were. We can certainly take it slow. I just wanted to give you something for you to remember me by, when I'm not with you," said Michael...moving to a whisper, "since I can't be with you everywhere." He smiled, and opened the locket, "it has a picture of you on one side, and me on the other side." He closed the locket.

Ashley smiled. "It's amazing," she said again, though that was a complete understatement. "Thank you," she said, leaning in and giving him a kiss on the lips.

Michael returned her kiss, and pulled back. "Want help placing it on?," he asked with a smile. The fact was that he had nearly everything he could want, within reason. He was very glad that they decided to for go the troubled part of their relationship.

"PLease," Ashley said, giving Michael the necklace. She rotated and lifted her hair off of her neck so it'd be easier for him.

Michael smiled, and helped her place it on. It was lovely. He hadn't mentioned that it was in-fact his Grand-mother's (with new pictures over the old ones). "There you go, Ash," he said with a smile.

"Thanks," she said, letting her hair fall around her shoulders again. "It even looks good with the dress." Fashion. Something Ash was all about.

"Ash...you look lovely, every time I see you," said Michael with a smile. He then whispered in her ear, "I'll let you know what I know of the history of the locket later on." He then offered his hand to her. "Care to dance, My-Lady?," he asked kindly.

"Yes, let's dance," she said wiht another smile. She was slightly intrigued by the history of the locket... but leave all her questions until later.

Michael began to move them back and forth, in conjunction with the music. He twirled her every so often.

Ashley smiled and laughed as they danced, having the time of her life.

Michael danced as well. He would twirl her once, and then embrace her before twirling her back out into about the area she was initially. Michael then continued dancing.

Elli signed and sat down at a table, now bored..
