"We could steal Edward away from the Puff if you want."She offered glaring at the girl dancing with Edward.

Katie laughed "that could be done" she said checking the girl

"You can try..it really dosent matter"
she answered, looking back forward

Michael turned when he heard a familiar voice. He smiled and said, "Katy...you are pretty nicely dressed, yourself." He saw Isabella (who he hadn't met before) and Edward heading towards the dance-floor to dance. Turning towards Katy, he added, "I'm glad you made it."

Andrew dressed as nicely as he could, and then headed down. He came through the doors into the Great Hall, and bumped into someone. He turned to apologize and then tapped into another person. Andrew fixed his glasses (pushed them up the bridge of his nose). He then dodged a few people that didn't care that he was there. He was going to say something to them, though figured that they wouldn't care. He found a seat at a vacant table, and brought out a small book that was the third book of the Lord of the Rings series (Return of the King). He began to read, since he didn't know many people there. He looked up for a moment and caught sight of Isabella dancing with Edward. He then looked back down, as he gave a calm smile. He didn't know if anyone noticed him...especially her or other girls.

"I almost didnt come...really dont like christmas...but that would have been mean to you"
she smiled and got a cup of punch, taking a sip
"Yummy"

Michael then said with a smile, "maybe some Christmas spirit can be sprouted within you." He then caught sight of a reasonably dressed boy entering bumping into a number of people. It appeared he was apologizing as he bumped into someone else. He chuckled to himself, though felt bad for that boy (Andrew). "I feel for that boy. He probably isn't popular by a long shot." He was thinking and then he said, "Katy...we could head over there? We could say hello...I'm sure he is lonely...I couldn't imagine being so socially isolated."

"Ok!"
Katy said with her usual bright attitude. She grabbed Michaels arm and pulled him over to Andrew with her
"Hello! Im Katy"
Katy made a small curtsy.

Michael comes with Katy over to Andrew. He said, "Hello...my name is Michael," with a smile. He also gave a polite small bow. He waited for Andrew to speak.

Andrew heard someone come up and realized it was not just one but two students. He looked up, and was lost for words. Eventually he said, "Hi...I'm...I'm...eh...Andrew." He was shocked when each curtsied/bowed. He couldn't help but be caught by Katy's attractiveness. "I'm...I'm...a Fifth year. Hufflepuff. I'm sorry for my staggering talking. Not many students that I haven't met already come to talk to me. It's a honor to make both of your acquaintances." His cheeks became rosy and said, "I come to these balls, though I don't have anyone to officially go with...usually I read." He gave a weak smile, since they probably thought he as crazy. "Most think I'm a little strange. Hehe," he adds, fixing his glasses.

"Your not strange. Its nice to meet you, Andrew..mind if we, or i, sit with you?"
she asked, smiling without showing teeth

Andrew smiled and was surprised that she or she and he wanted to sit with him. "Uh...sure. I'd love to have such lovely company...or maybe I should have said, I'd be happy to have such lovely company," he added as he thought aloud. "Sorry...I can be a little indecisive. I love reading though," he added with a weak smile.

Michael nodded and said, "I'll sit down too, if you would like another person of company...actually...would you care for a drink, Andrew?," he asked ready to go get something, to which Andrew asked for a butterbeer. "Would you like anything, Katy?," he asked Katy with a smile.

"No thank you, Michael..but thanks!"
she sat down, her eyes scanning the people quickly
wonder if Riley and Ash are here
she thought..but she couldnt see them so she turned bback to Andrew
"What'cha readin?"

As Michael got up to get the Butterbeer, Andrew listened to Katy. He then said, "I'm reading the Return of the King. Its the third book of the Lord of the Rings series. You are very sweet, though I hope you don't mind my saying that." He wasn't sure what else to say, so he left it at that.

"Ooo..thats a really good series! I think Ive read it 5 times!"
she smiled at his compliment
"Why thank you..i try my best.."
Katy was ok with the silence that was left hanging..actually, it was quite comfortable

Andrew pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose. "I think I'm up to three. I really like the series. I'm glad to have met you and Michael. Most people just want to avoid me. Maybe they just think I read too much. I've learned so much through reading," he said as he looked towards Katy. He was surprised in a good way when she smiled, and continued to sit with him.

Ashley looked toward the doors when one of her girlfriends told her to. Her jaw dropped as she saw Riley walking through the crowd. "Go see your man, Ash," her friend told her. Ashley looked at her friend. "He's not my man," she replied, though she nearly ran up to Riley nonetheless. "Riley!" she said,hugging him and then letting go quickly. "Oh... I'ms orry. This must be really hard for you... we could go..." she looked around for a slightly less crowded spot. "Over there? There's not as many people there... And I thought you weren't coming! Oh, my God, I am so happy right now! Why didn't you tell me you were comign? We could've come together so you wouldn't look as awkward..."

Riley was glad that there was a slightly empty corner in the great Hall. He was a bit twitchy and nervous being surrounded by all these people. "You look nice," he replied quietly like he always did when he initiated conversations.

Katy gave a happy sigh then looked up to glance around again..she saw Edward dancing with someone...Elli talking with Janelle and Katie...and Michael getting two drinks..but no one else

Alex waited near the Great Hall entrance for Emma to come down. He was dressed nicely, and couldn't wait to see Emma. He had a corsage in his hand, to give to her when she arrived.

Michael went to the drink area, and picked up a butterbeer. He brought it back to the table with Andrew and Katy. He noticed Riley and Ash were in a less crowded area. He smiled as he laid it in front of Andrew. "So...what do you enjoy doing in your free time?," asked Michael.

Andrew smiled, and said, "thank...you for the drink, Michael." He took a sip and listened to Michael's question. "My time mostly involves reading. Not much else, though its amazing what you can learn from books." He smiled, and then his cheeks went rosy, since it probably was a little awkward...response wise.

Emma came down in a shiny blue dress. It was long and strapless, and went down to the floor. It tightened at her waist then went out, fitting her body nicely. Dangling from her arms was a silver wrap that matched her heels. Her hair was piled in a bun curls coming down. "Hey." she murmured nervously.

Alex turned around, and was just stunned. "Oh...my...wow." He walked up to Emma and kissed her. "You are absolutely gorgeous. Oo...and I almost forgot. This is for you," he said holding the white orchid with blue highlights up to her, with a smile on his face.

Emma kissed him back flattered. She was hoping he wouldn't be disappointed. Looking down at the corsage she smiled. "Its beautiful. Thank you." It looked pretty on her wrist. And it fitted perfectly with her dress.

Alex thought to himself as he slid it on her wrist, 'thank you, Emma's friends.' "I am the one escorting a Princess here," he said with a smile. "When you are ready, My-Lady." Alex held his arm out if she wanted to interlock arms, or hold hands...it will be up to Emma.
