Yule Ball -- 25 December 2008

Michael shook his head, and said, "thank you for asking, My-Lady...I'm not very thirsty right now." He released her left hand and draped his arm around her back, so as to give her a side-to-side hug. He watched everyone on the dancefloor...as he couldn't believe how things completely reversed at an event he was dreading, just hoping to squeak through. He was so happy.

Ashley smiled and then quenched her thirst. "This was totally better than I expected," she mused as she sipped her butterbeer.

"Same here, Ash. I just hoped to eke through, though I'm so glad that Katy and Riley concocted this plan, without partnering up," said Michael with a smile. "I wonder if...(gesturing towards the Riley part of the conversation)...and...(gesturing towards the Katy part of the conversation)...would get along as more than friends." He hoped it made sense, though hoped that Ashley wouldn't think it too odd for him to mention that.

Ashley's eyes widened slightly and her mouth opened. "Oh, my God! I was thinking the same thing throughout the night... and even a bit before... I mean, they do get along quite well -- or so it seemed. I think we should return the favor, you know?" she suggested.

Michael smiled, and said, "I couldn't agree more, My-Dear. Care to have another dance, or should we head towards the balcony area over there?," he asked, willing to go with either choice. This was the happiest time of his life, considering that what he once thought was lost was now found.

She giggled."Okay then if I'm not slow then I must be extremely slow."

Andrew chuckled, while they continued dancing. "Trust...me...you aren't," he said with a smile. His cheeks went rosy too.

Ashley thought. "Hmm... let's go tot he balcony area... it'd be cooler and I'm rather hot after dancing the way we were."

Michael said, "sure, Ash. It looks like a beautiful night outside," he added, gesturing towards the ceiling. Michael then waited for Ashley before walking towards the balcony.

"Thanks Andy."She grinned at him.

"You're welcome, Bella-dear," said Andrew with a smile. This is a lot of fun. As the song finished up, Andrew gave her a hug and said in a calm tone, "thank you for the dance." He pulled back and pushed his glasses up his nose. Afterwards he smiled.

Bella grinned and wrapped her arms around him giving him a quick hug. "Anyday for you Andy.'

Andrew listened to Bella, and then asked her, "would it be too awkward for me to...uh...ask if you would like to go on a date with me?," he added nervously, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose, and then running his fingers through his hair, with a weak smile, hoping that she said yes.

Ashley looked up at the ceiling and had to agree with Michael. SHe smiled and grabbed his hand and led the way to the balcony. Once outside Ashley breathe din the fresh air and simled again. "YEp... this feels really good right now."

Michael walked with Ashley to the balcony, and took in the fresh air. "This does feel really good," he said as he brought his right hand around her as his right hand was still holding her left hand. He hugged her from behind. Michael began to rock back and forth, as he saw the full-moon draped by clouds in front of them. He smiled, as he shared this moment with Ashley.

Ashley smiled and loved Riley and Katy right now sicne they were the little cupids that night. She sighed contentedly, glad that Michael was holding her because it was december and she was in a spaghetti-strap dress that was absolutely gorgeous.

Michael smiled, and let go of Ashley, only to gently lift her up in his arms. He then began to move back and forth, and then twirled the two of them around before kissing her on her cheek.

Ashley smiled. "You are amazing," she said for the second time that ngiht.

"Thanks, Ash...I wouldn't be as amazing without someone lovely lady by my side, and I know that you have a lovely heart too," said Michael with a smile.

Ashley smiled again and blushed slightly. "You're too lenient with the word lovely," she joked.

((and no clue if that's how lenient is spelled... but me is too lazy to double check. ))

"How so, My-Lady?," asked Michael with a smile, since he's still holding Ashley in his arms, and also he knew that she spoke as a joke.

"I wouldn't call myself lovely," she replied with a slight chuckle.

"Well...beauty is in the eye of the beholder...and frankly, I'm 'be-holding' you," added Michael with a chuckle as he twirled them both for a few rotations before returning to a stationary pose.

Ashley chuckled. "I guess I can't argue with that, can I?"

Michael chuckled, and then said, "maybe I'm a little biased." He then set Ashley back on the ground and sat down on the nearby bench.
